Mystic Mamas
“I wouldn’t be here without all of the Black Women around me. Put us together and we can do anything.” - Misty Copeland. Black Women are astonishing. Our ability to create, heal, transform and change is beyond human comprehension. When one Black Woman has a vision history is made, when two Black Women have a vision, a legacy is formed. Without further ado, I introduce to you all Ayana Sade and Patrice Bolomope, these two women combined are “Mystic Mamas”. Mystic Mamas is an organization that creates events, workshops, and company playdates centering womanhood, parenting and play all over America and various parts of Africa. I remember the shame I felt as a kid because of my Nigerian descent. When Africa was brought up in conversation, people immediately referred to the child with flies all over their face. Now when Africa is brought up in conversation, people will immediately think of Ayana and Patrice. To see two Black Women changing such an ugly narrative brings me to tears. Thank-you Ayana and Patrice for being the trailblazers this world needs. If you would like to stay informed on all things ‘Mystic Mamas” be sure to keep on scrolling!
