One of my favorite pass times, is studying up and coming fashion creatives. There are so many stylists, Black Stylists in particular who are exhibiting brilliant work who don’t get enough exposure and that is something I cannot accept. I often find myself scrolling through portfolios, websites, and social media’s hours upon end. Today I am honored to introduce to you the lovely Ja'Naya Rice, the Founder of Fresh.Flare.Styles. Ja’Naya is truly a breath of fresh air; she is different, authentic, and fearless. I’ve been a fan of Ja’Naya’s work for a while now and I must admit I’m overwhelmed with inspiration, joy and appreciation anytime I see her creative genius. Ja’Naya you may consider yourself an “up and coming stylist”, but you style as if you’ve already arrived. I thank you for relentlessly and boldly pursuing your gift. I am inspired by many, but moved by very few. Give Ja’Naya a year and she will be styling your favorite celebs for red carpet events; billboards, commercials and so much more. I am hopeful, encouraged, and empowered all thanks to you Ja’Naya. It is an honor to be able to cover a creative genius like herself. I hope that by reading this feature, people take notice of Ja’Naya; book Ja’Naya, and give Ja’Naya her flowers. There is room for all of us in this industry, you just have to find your spot and it’s safe to say she has found hers and will move on to help others find theirs.
