One of my favorite pass times, is studying up and coming fashion creatives. There are so many stylists, Black Stylists in particular who are exhibiting brilliant work who don’t get enough exposure and that is something I cannot accept. I often find myself scrolling through portfolios, websites, and social media’s hours upon end. Today I am honored to introduce to you the lovely Anicea, the Founder of Subtle Fashions Studios. Anicea is truly a breath of fresh air, she is different, authentic, and fearless. I’ve been a fan of Anicea’s work for years, and I am overwhelmed with inspiration, joy and appreciation anytime I see her creative genius. Anicea, you may consider yourself an “up and coming stylist”, but you style as if you’ve already arrived. I thank you for relentlessly and boldly pursuing your gift. I am inspired by many, but moved by very few. Give Anicea a year and she will be styling your favorite celebs for red carpet events. I am hopeful, encouraged, and empowered all thanks to you Anicea. It is an honor to be able to even cover a creative genius like herself. I hope that by reading this feature, people take notice of Anicea, book Anicea, and get inspired by Anicea. There is room for all of us in this industry, you just have to find your spot and it’s safe to say she has found hers and will move on to help others find theirs.
