Many say we criticize what we don’t understand, I say we criticize what we fear. There are too many people in this world that fear the trendsetters that challenge us creatively and force us to be open minded in our own artistry. Instead of fearing these special individuals, we should be thanking them for having the courage to show up as their authentic selves in this judgemental world. These “trendsetters” never cease to amaze me but there is only one individual that comes to mind when I think of that “it factor”. With that being said, I proudly introduce to you the Style Icon and CEO of “MisUndstd Apparel” Miguel Ellis Jr. Miguel has singlehandedly turned the fashion industry upside down with his creativity and originality. Miguel is lightyears ahead of his peers, because of his commitment to his authenticity and artistry. Miguel’s style and designs are the perfect blend of timeless and futuristic. There are so many traits that set Miguel aside from the designers and style icons we come across in the industry, but one trait that stuck out to me the most was his kind and supportive spirit. You don’t come across people like Miguel in life and the fashion industry, so I’m so grateful that I was able to come across him and his work when I did. I’m so excited to see where Miguel’s headed, I know the sky is only his staircase!
