BadBitch Thriftin
I’ve always found it easier to express myself through clothing, and writing. It is a must that I have pieces that effectively communicate the stories I struggle to verbalize. I wonder how this life would be if we all had clothing that allowed us to be… honest. Maybe it’s about finding the right shops, or designers who make sure their garments are a safe space for our authenticity and personality. Karen J Pine once said “serious development takes place at the closet door.”, or in this case the thrift store. One of my favorite thrift stores is “BadBitch Thriftin” created by the amazing Lauryn Parks. I’ve always been one that holds a deep appreciation for bright and eclectic clothing, so believe me when I say “BadBitch Thriftin” is the place to go. What I love most about this shop aside from it’s beautiful pieces, is the incredible owner, Lauryn. I have known Lauryn for a great portion of my life and their person and personality is one everyone should meet. Lauryn has been loving and supportive of me “just because” since I was about eleven years old, and I’m not sure if words will ever properly portray my level of gratitude. Lauryn is a beautiful person in and out and that is reflected through every garment they sell. I believe everyone should experience Lauryn, and if you can’t make sure you experience their thrift shop and drape yourself with some timeless pieces!
