Destiny Perkins: The Artist
"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." - Edgar Degas. To the artists creating work that makes me proud to be a Black woman, I thank you, I love you, and I appreciate you. I am astounded at the creativity of my people. I have never seen an artist like the individual I'm soon to introduce in my life. I have a deep appreciation for anyone that can display who and what they are through art. With that being said, I humbly introduce you to the unearthly Destiny Perkins. Destiny Perkins is a superb Visual Artist who has created art that we can all appreciate and see ourselves in. I am inspired by her dedication to her craft and commitment to creating art that represents us the right way. It is Black artists like Destiny that are changing this world, and for that I say, thank you.
