By following their heart, they stand with their conscience, and only with God.” ― Suzy Kassem. I have been blessed with the honor of coming across some beautiful people. People who "just got me" and "accepted me" for who I was even when I didn't know who I was. God has allowed me to form a relationship with the kind of people who will hold an umbrella over your head on rainy days, and buy you your favorite food to celebrate with you on your best days. The kind of people who found joy for me on the days I couldn’t, and talent where I found mediocrity. Since I was a teenager, I knew what love was because of this special woman. I believe everyone serves a purpose, and we are all walking each other home along this journey. Where would I be without those who’ve held my hand along my journey? Speaking of a comforter and hand holder, that reminds me of someone who has been an absolute blessing along this journey of mine. Ladies and gents, I proudly introduce to you the amazing Deveda. Growing up I was very shy, in fact, I still am it's just easier to mask it on social media. It was this incredible woman who made me feel like I was one of the popular kids. For as long as I’ve known Deveda, she's always been so kind and supportive of me. On the days when I silently struggled to find a reason to keep going, her greeting and funny jokes reminded me that new reasons to keep going would soon be revealed. Little does Deveda know, she gave me hope that there is still goodness to be found in this world, and that my life had a purpose. We wait far too long to appreciate people for who they are, not what they’ve done or how much they have, but who they are. There wouldn’t be a “Styling By Chi” if it weren't for my amazing sister. The only one who saw me and always had a big grin on her face. One of the few who looked at me and saw greatness. One of the few who looked at me and made the decision to be a true friend to me. I hope this feature properly conveys my thank you to you for being you. I love you dearly, and I pray I get to experience you for as long as I live.
