Very seldom do we realize how much we’ve needed authentic music and sound until we are gifted with it. There are music artists who are creating sonic experiences for our consumption that deserve to be exalted and celebrated. Lyric Rae is what I like to call a “unicorn” in the world of music. Lyric's sound, style, and person is like nothing I've seen before in the music industry. With a refreshing appearance and invigorating sound, it's safe to say we are all left frozen in our tracks. But it doesn't stop there, the iconic Lyric Rae gave us a special treat with her latest 6-track project "Emotional Damage". This body of work is beautiful from start to finish. Pittsburgh-based Engineer & Producer "Dude Pgh" made it a point to add an unforgettable feel to each song on this project. While listening to this beautifully produced and executed project, I couldn’t help but feel... everything. I believe the best music leaves you with a multitude of feelings, and that's one of the many things that can be said about this project. A sound that leaves you with a newfound perspective, is a sound every human being needs. There is no greater feeling than coming across music composed by a music artist who knows how to sonically transfer authenticity. We are so used to hearing the “same sound” musically, that we forget to appreciate a fresh and unique sound. Lyric, on everyone’s behalf I say thank you for the incredible music.
