As a Black Woman who happens to be an artist, the way I experience the world is interesting, to say the least. The way I process emotions is different from most, and the grace given by the world to process said emotions is scarce. Where does a Black woman go when she needs a listener? Well, I’ll tell you, she goes to the steward of penmanship. She goes to the one who was blessed with the ability to embrace, humanize, and empathize through words. Ophelia Knight is the Poet who helps Black women like myself feel like they are safe to be. Ophelia is the Published Author of countless poetry books and novels.
