Vashti Aliyah: Where The Ladies At
I want everyone who comes across my person and spirit to feel represented, seen, and heard. All of these sacred things are things I wish I had more of as a kid. The older I grow the more I learn that vulnerability and willingness are the true powers every human being harbors, not money, status, orientation, or public endorsement. I'm not sure if people understand how much vulnerability means to me. It is a humbling reward to come across those that are vulnerable within their journeys and choose to pay it forward to someone else. I thank you for allowing someone like me who's never felt like she's fit, to fit like a glove through your works. Today I proudly introduce you to the definition of vulnerability, acceptance, and spirit, the lovely Vashti Aliyah. Vashti is incredible. She is the Founder of “Where The Ladies At”, a Creative Community that's shedding light on women of color in creative industries. Vashti is also a Community Member at “beSOCIAL”, a creative hub for interaction and innovation through Social Status. I've admired and respected Vashti and her selfless works for quite a while. The interesting thing about vulnerability is that you release the stronghold of fear of perception. There is true beauty in telling someone how amazing they are, and rewarding them with the flowers they selflessly give everyone from their flower shop. Vashti, the work that you do is appreciated, admired, and necessary. I fear what this world would be without you, but I thank God I don't have to wonder. I ask you to continue to be a vessel for God and his amazing works, may you be blessed in abundance.
