That makes sure I'm alive.

You take on so much hurt.

Taking on the stress of others.

To a muscle that yearns.

For love.

Life itself.

A heart made of pure gold.

Working nonstop.

Loving but also.

Hurting.

A heart that changes.

Cracks in half.

Molds into one piece.

Fat Kisses

I was drugged with fat kisses.

His touch was mysterious.

Hugs felt like knives to the back.

But he was what I craved.

I overdosed on affection.

Why it felt so good, I don't know.

This man was a pill I yearned for.

He was a deadly blow.

An addiction that failed rehab.

One I couldn't keep.

He was a true monster.

A love that ran oh so steep.

He knew what he did to me.

How much I hated him.

But how his love I ought to own.

The man was my opiod.

I was drugged with fat kissses.

Filled with a bad curse.

Covered and dipped in death.

Oh, how I didn't need any nurse.

I was my own antidote.

He was my weakness.

I know my strengths.

But he was my highest dosage.

He was a needle I wanted daily.

A needle that burned.

I was ready for that.

And back into his arms, I returned.
