I was privileged to sit with Liza Cynthia, the main beneficiary of an abundant and faith-rooted mindset. She is ethereal, creative, and vibrant, from her clothing to her contagious personality. Who are you?

I define myself as a Black woman who can be anything she wants. I’m very delusional, and I think that helps me steer away from placing limitations on myself.

Who was the younger version of Liza?

She was always creative and vibrant, but if you didn’t know her you wouldn’t have seen that. I was insecure and scared of what people might say or think about me. 

Your sense of style is chic, timeless, and authentic. How are you able to create such looks?

I get up and put on whatever I want, there isn’t any specific methodology.

What is your favorite part of your style?

I love my vibrancy and color.  

What is your definition of style?

Style is wearing what you want, and making it look good.

Do you like to stay on trend, or do you prefer to create your own?

I’m not into trends, every now and then I see trendy pieces I’m fancied by, but I usually wait some time to see if that trend is for me.

What is your must-have article of clothing?

 I love bags! I think bags make the outfit, from shoulder bags to tote bags.

Would you say younger Liza is proud of who you are today?

For sure, she’s proud of her growth, and evolution.

For someone trying to break their way into the fashion industry, what advice would you give them?

I would advise them to envision who they want to be and emulate that state of being. In time you will become that.

What is something you want to accomplish along this journey of yours?

I want to accomplish putting out one of one pieces, that has been a dream of mine for quite a while.
