“All art is a kind of confession, more or less oblique. All artists, if they are to survive, are forced, at last, to tell the whole story; to vomit the anguish up.” - James Baldwin. I am invariably grateful to be in the presence of art, curators of art, collectors of art, and gallerists who choose to display it. This past weekend I was immersed in beauty at the Affordable Art Fair NYC. This was an experience I encourage everyone to experience at some point in their lives. If I were to list every artist that caught my eye, I'd be listing for days, but here are some that caught my spirit. Curator, Writer, Gallerist, and Founder of Indie Multicultural Media Platform SHEER, Bianca Jean-Pierre beautifully showcased the works of the talented Nada Esmaeel, Kaarina Chu Mackenzie, and Audrey Lyall. I was beguiled by the works of these artists in every way you can imagine. Thank you all for sharing you with the world. Next on the docket is the lovely Gallerist, Art Dealer, Collector Curator, & Founder Of Tanya Weddemire Gallery. Tanya Weddemire showcased the works of groundbreaking artists, Moses Salihou, Gregory Saint Amand, and Serron Green. This was the first out-of-body artistic experience I've ever had, and I couldn't be more grateful. To everyone who made this year's Affordable Art Fair what it was, I thank you.
