“To be a filmmaker, you have to lead. You have to be psychotic in your desire to do something. People always like the easy route. You have to push very hard to get something unusual, something different.” - Danny Boyle. I believe the role of the artist is one of the best assignments a human being can be given. While watching our favorite films, I wonder if we ever take a moment to bask at the creative genius that went into that process. A fimmaker is the storyteller of the past, present, and future. Without the “filmmaker” the world and the way we view it would be very dull. A chapter may come and go, but a film is forever. Filmmakers are blessed with the ability to give us hope, and show us how far we’ve come through their script. There are too many filmmakers that can be listed that are redefining the way we experience the world, but only one filmmaker comes to mind when I think of filmmakers who are going down in history. Ladies and gents, I proudly introduce to you all the creative mastermind that is Xayne Allen. Xayne’s ability to write and direct a beautiful story is one that should be applauded and celebrated. I admire anyone that can write a story that allows you to see yourself in it. Representation in art, is a lost art within itself. I am grateful that we have Xayne in the arts, I hope you know that you are loved and appreciated. Thank you for all you do, all you create, and all you are, the creative world wouldn’t be what it is without you.
