Threads of Vintage
“We spend our way to the poorhouse. We buy giant TVs and iPads. Our children wear nice clothes thanks to high-interest credit cards and payday loans. We purchase homes we don't need, refinance them for more spending money, and declare bankruptcy, often leaving them full of garbage in our wake. Thrift is inimical to our being”. - J.D. Vance. It is essential that we take the time out to appreciate the thrift stores, boutiques, and shops that are supplying us with our stylish needs. I’m not the only one who loves a good thrift store, you know the one that has the best color block blouse for three dollars? I thought I found my favorite thrift shop and owner until I came across the beautiful Pam of “Threads of Vintage”. I’m going to lay it all out on the table, this might be my new favorite thrift shop, honestly calling it a “thrift shop” isn’t doing this shop any justice, how about “Luxury Vintage”. I’m sure you’re thinking that may be a stretch, but I mean it when I say it, “Threads of Vintage” is in its own lane. They have pieces that look like they came straight off of the runway for prices that will blow your socks off! As if that weren’t enough their founder Pam, makes you feel like you’re her only customer in the world. Pam is thoughtful, considerate and oh so kind, she is a reminder that goodness exists in the world and fashion industry. I am inspired by the women who are redefining creativity, fashion, and sustainability, it’s not an easy task but Pam does it all with grace and humility. Pam has single handedly given the term “second-hand” a new meaning. Thank-you Pam for sharing your gift with the world, and being such an amazing “luxury vintage” shop owner.
