I am a proud fan; a fan of people who choose to treasure, support, and be their authentic selves in a world that frequently coerces you to be otherwise. I know that we have all become who we are today because of our sheer determination, but what about the people behind the scenes who have lit our torches? Jaime Powell or "my Facebook sister" as I like to call her, is one of the reasons for my commitment to being a better creative and person. Jaime has encouraged and kept me with her kind words, love, and genuine support since the first day we connected. When do we take the time to love those who selflessly love and encourage us? I know love isn't supposed to be transactional, but it should be fair. I am grateful to have this special woman in my life, she is a beautiful woman with a soul as bright as the luminaries. I always say to give people their flowers but to you Jaime, I give roses. I hope I can be as great as you one day.
